Meet The #KDA21 Jury

 

Abhijit Bansod, a NID postgraduate,
has been part of the new age design movement in India. After decade long experience with Titan Design Studio, he founded Studio ABD in 2008 to create an open platform to discover new facets of contemporary Indian Design. 

Amritha Ballal is an architect, urban ecological planner, and the founding partner at SpaceMatters, an award-winning multidisciplinary design studio that combines design projects with action-research initiatives on emerging habitat.

An Industrial Designer from the National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad, India, Ashish started his design entrepreneurship journey, 32 years ago, by co-founding India’s pioneering design practice, Elephant. Elephant today is present in India as well as Singapore.

 

Ayaz Basrai is co-founder of The Busride Design Studio, a leading Architecture and Interior design firm in India. Ayaz heads the studio's research arm, The Busride Lab based in Goa, which works on research and design projects in the domain of Heritage Conservation and Futures Research.

A highly passionate marketing and brand leader, Geet brings 18 years of experience across New York and Mumbai, and is skilled at providing innovative leadership and implementing effective portfolio-based solutions, branding and marketing strategies.

Harsh Purohit is the co-founder of Cognito, an award-winning sustainability advisory which specialises in seeding and cascading the practice of sustainability and integrated thinking in organisations using design and communication as key tools.

 

Madhav is an architect and urbanist. Formally established in 2004, Anagram Architects is internationally recognised as amongst the top emerging practices in the world with a commitment towards delivering deeply contextual designs that encourage sustainable lifestyles.

Mayur was Boy Browsing because Shauq Badi Cheez Hai. Just ask Baba Sehgal, he’ll sing Little Drops of Joy and feed you Domino’s pizza in Ibiza, Vishwas Karo. When OYO came calling in the summer of 2019, he gave up the charms of a reserved parking slot, made to order office, wine O’clock and other perks like a velvet magic carpet and the French Riviera.

Spacon & X is a cross-disciplinary design and architecture studio, creating an identity for spaces in all scales and categories.
Spacon & X is short for Spatial Conversion & Cross-functionalism. Spacon & X was founded in 2014 by scenographic designer and advertising producer Svend Jacob Pedersen and Architect Nikoline Dyrup Carlsen.

 

Otto studied architecture at HKU and MIT and had worked on smart city and architecture projects in the US, UK, and Italy. Otto was named the Young Guns by the New York Art Directors Club in 2014 and was selected as one of the young game-changers shaping Hong Kong’s future by Tatler’s GenT in 2017.

Rajesh studied graphic design at NID, Ahmedabad & interaction design at Ivrea, Italy. He is the
co-founder of one of India’s leading independent brand design practices—Codesign. As creative head at Codesign, he has led projects for iconic Indian brands like Royal Enfield, Tata Motors, Wildcraft, etc.

Sandeep Khosla is the Founder and Principal of Khosla Associates, a leading Architecture and Interior Design firm in Bangalore, India. Sandeep studied architecture at Pratt Institute, New York, then returned to India to establish Khosla Associates in 1995.

 

Shikha is an ex-advertising writer who moved to the brand side in 2015. She's a huge advocate of brands nurturing creativity from the inside, and of creative talent taking a seat at the table of business decisions. She's currently Head of Creative at Slice. 

Tania is the Founder and Creative Director of the award-winning design firm TSK Design. She received a BA from Mount Holyoke College in Studio Art and an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University. Tania returned to establish TSK in 1997 when design was still nascent in India, helping pioneer what is now a thriving creative industry.

Tanu Sinha joined PepsiCo in 2019 as Head of Design & Innovation for the India Business Unit. In her current role, she is integrating design thinking into PepsiCo’s culture and using it as an effective tool to drive the growth of business for both Snacks and Beverages portfolio.

 

Tej Chauhan’s eponymous practice is known for Emotive Industrial Design. His studio creates immersive experiences designed to excite and inspire broad audiences through visual, physical and sensorial interaction.

Yah-Leng Yu is the Founding Partner and Creative Director of Foreign Policy Design Group, a design and innovation bureau based out of the tropical island of Singapore. She also co-created the official museum store Gallery & Co at the National Gallery Singapore.
